There is nothing quite like the beauty of a snowy morning in Maine--even the ducks like it!
This prolonged cold is NOT the normal for here on the coast of Maine. Thank goodness the ducks love their soup-for-ducks (and kibble!). I can't Martha is still laying! We're well into -30s F with windchill today. They are snuggled in!
The duckcam in the duckhouse run confirms that Martha has her eye on the blizzard as it settles in. Keep in mind that the wall of the run to the right in this picture is open providing plenty of ventilation. Because our weather doesn't often come from this direction, the current system works well.
