Harvesting the Walla Walla Onions

Walla Walla Onions (28 September 2020)

Today we started harvesting our Walla Walla onions. These are the legendary sweet onion that make an excellent sweet onion to grow in northern climates. These can be stored for two to three months, but the generally go pretty quick around here. Elsewhere around the farm we are full on into autumn with the leaves now starting to turn.

The ducks are still enjoying foraging, but we think they know winter is coming.
